Michael Archer — Tatura Cricket Club captain
"I reckon it's a good idea.
"It's an opportunity to play more cricket and to play cricket with players you don't normally play with.
"There's players that I've spoken to about it that would be excited to be involved, and no-one has said anything negative about it from the people I've spoken to.
"You've got three or four associations around the area (Cricket Shepparton, Murray Valley Cricket Association, Goulburn Murray Cricket and Bendigo District Cricket Association), it would be really great to pick the best players from them and put a team together."
Andrew Riordan — Katandra Cricket Club
"I'm all for promoting the league and the game and putting on a show for what our region can do.
"If we can use it to get more young kids involved in cricket in the Goulburn Valley that's even better.
"Twenty20 is an enjoyable format and obviously there's competition for juniors with AFL and soccer, so any initiatives that the league and those involved can think of is great.
"I think it's a good idea, whether it will work or not I don't know, but there's no harm in trying. The T20 comp copped a bit of stick early on, but that's going well now and blokes want to play in it, so why not try it.
"Any tournament that promotes the game is worth putting on.
Wian Van Zyl — Cobram Cricket Club import
"I think it's a great idea.
"I think it would be a good idea, because the local cricket is well supported by the community.
"Every player wants to play at the highest level they can. Yes it’s definitely something I would like to play in.
"A competition like this might open some doors for players who want to play in a franchise."
