A top effort with the ball saw Pyalong outplay Kilmore in their round nine B-grade contest on Saturday.
Led by Nathan Farrell-Ryan (3-34), Pyalong kept Kilmore's efforts with the bat to the lower end with 107, before its top order trio in Sean Walsh (28), Gavin Thomson (23) and Jamie Pryor (39 not out) quickly gifted Pyalong the match.
Eastern Hill was a class above Avenel on Saturday, reaching Avenel's total of 7-189 with four overs to spare.
In a thrilling finish, Broadford beat Alexandra by two runs in their round nine clash.
Alexandra batted first and notched up 9-138 at the end of 45 overs.
But not one to be outdone, Broadford edged in front to finish with 9-140 on the final ball.
Broadford's Ashley Wood led his side's effort with the pine, knocking together 44.
Tallarook easily accounted for Royals in their match, keeping the home side to 91 before Adam Howard (24 not out) and Kieran Minter (23) chased down the total to win by six wickets.
Rounding out the matches, Puckapunyal defeated Yea Tigers on forfeit.
● The efforts of Puckapunyal's Jeff Marshall (30 not out) and Pieter Murtagh (42 not out) along with Josh Paynter (5-18) lifted the Wanderers to a 10-wicket win over Eastern Hill in C-grade on Saturday.
Paynter was the lynch-pin in Puckapunyal's efforts to keep the Eagles to 74, before Marshall and Murtagh partnered to easily chase down the total.
A trio of bowlers helped Alexandra put Avenel to the sword, with Tim Orgill, Will Ellis and Banjo Fitzgerald all nabbing three wickets apiece.
Alexandra also looked in trouble early in their innings at the crease, with their top five batters combining for a paltry 18 runs.
But it was lower order duo James Southam (24) and Nick Wal (18) who got the side over the line.
Paul Lilburn's knock of 85 not out was enough to get Kilmore the win against Broadford Black.
Broadford posted a tough 193 from 39 overs, but it was Lilburn, along with Martin Denney (45) and Shannon Brown (37) who guided the side to victory with eight wickets in hand.
Dom Russo led Seymour to a win over Broadford Red, top scoring with 63 runs on the weekend.
Seymour posted 8-158 with the bat, before quickly dismissing Broadford for 110.
In other results, Pyalong defeated the Royals, while Puckapunyal Nomads enjoyed the bye.
