Sitting back and enjoying a nice cold beer on the shores of Lake Nagambie sounds enticing.

That 'new' pastime is going to become a lot more prevalent in the upcoming months after the official opening of the Nagambie Brewery and Distillery.
Owned by Melbourne business tycoon Gerry Ryan, the tourist attraction will create at least 15 jobs and its team has already been working during construction.
Opened to the public earlier this year, the brewery offers a signature brew at the purpose-built facility and includes a bar with portholes into the brewery, a dining room and a café.
“The Nagambie Brewery and Distillery is already encouraging more locals and visitors to explore everything Nagambie has to offer with its stunning lakes, rivers and winery experiences," state Minister for Regional Development Jaclyn Symes said.
“I’m delighted to welcome this major investment in Nagambie, which is strengthening the region’s tourism industry and growing local jobs."
Mr Ryan said the brewery was already proving popular with tourists, with 70 per cent of visitors coming from outside Nagambie.
“Nagambie is one of the best kept secrets and we saw it as a good business opportunity and a great way to bring people to town,” he said.
“I came to Nagambie 14 years ago and the more of the town I discovered, the more potential I saw.
“Breweries are very popular at the moment and we have decided to take it one step further with gin, vodka and whiskey.
“The view of the lake is the best way to sell Nagambie and we want to get people in to enjoy it, along with some great food and great beer.”
