The course is in good condition and well looked after by a pair of volunteers.
Frank Broucek was our winner for the stroke round with a score of 41-5-36, runner-up was Ray Peake (58-14-44).
Frank was also NTP on the 7th and had the least number of putts with 12.
Shirley McAsey won the straightest drive.
June 8
There was a runaway from John Oakley (56-17.5-38.5) defeating Frank Broucek (44-5-39) by half-a-shot 44-5-39.

The stableford round winner with 16 points was Denise Pappin.

Rochester
Mark Walsh and Robert Ralph spent hours looking for their lost property on the course last week, as we were about to ring the local SES for assistance, both found the said articles safely in the bottom of their respective golf bags.
Walsh also found his form last Saturday by shooting his best score and handicap busting 89- 22 nett 67 to win the stroke event for the day, closely followed by new member Greg Watkins who also had a good day out with 97-29 nett 68.
Chris White and David Fuller (70), Leigh Hicks and Peter Anderson (71) and Kevin McCormack (72) were the next best and ball winners.
Graham Willis (3), Fuller (5), Chris Eeles (16) and Jake Wright (18) were nearest the pin winners.
In the four-ball matchplay semi-finals, Shane Bywaters and partner Kevin McCormack defeated Jake Wright and Liam Keenan, while Peter Anderson and partner Steve Bubb accounted for Graham Willis and Bruce Bryant.
The winners will now go on to play each other in the grand final.
Ralph still recovering from his exhaustive search and playing his first competitive game for some years was unlucky not to win in last Wednesday's Stableford event as his impressive 25 points were shared with Peter Anderson, however, Feuk's countback system got Anderson over the line.
Richard Feuk (22), Laurie Jackel (21), Bywaters and Russ Anderson (20) were the next best, Tim Quinlan was the nearest on the short 12th.
Captain Hicks wants members who have qualified in the club's singles to arrange to play their semi-finals over the next few weeks.
Next Saturday will be a stableford hit off from 11.15am, then on Sunday, June 28 the club will run an introductory golf day for men, ladies and juniors.

Leisa Evans won both ladies events on Friday and Saturday, Karen Taylor and Jenny Major were the unlucky runners-up in close games.
A special three-person ambrose event will be played on Saturday, July 4.
President Ian Clark is encouraging members to bring along new golfers, ex-golfers and those who would like to have some fun while enjoying the ideal playing conditions we are experiences at present.
Bamawm
We had a good field turn up on Sunday for an ambrose competition.
Winners were Sam Newth and Andrew Palmer with 60 1/4 to runners-up Leon Laffy, Graham Turner and Bryan Kinnane on 61 5/6.

Elmore
The Elmore course again presented in good condition for another week of golf.
Commencing with the Chicken Run on Tuesday with Stuart Ayson taking home the winners trophy.
Max Wiliiams and Bruce Rasmussen shared the NTP on 3/3.
Ladies on Wednesday played a 4BBB fun day.
Winners with 36 point were Corrie Holmberg and Petrica Bamford, with Tanya Niven and Denise Pappin runners-up with 33.
Saturday was a stableford event held in conjunction with the second round of the Rochester Tyres award and the monthly medal.
In form, Anthony Tanner led the field home with a super round amassing 42 points.
Runner-up was Tony Barnes with a fine 38 points.
Other good scores came from Stuart Ayson 34 points, Bruce Rasmussen, Greg Holmberg, Max Williams and Jeff Trewick all on 31 points.
NTPs: 17th/9th — Luke Price, 6th/14th — Greg Holmberg.
This coming Saturday will be playing the first round of the Matchplay Championships and Captain v President.
Please come early as the days are very short.

Lockington
The Club Championships grand final day was played on Saturday.
Grant Humbert had an 8-shot lead at the start of the day, which had been whittled back to five by Brett Stone after nine holes.
Grant finished strongly with a 2-under 33 on the inward 9 to finish with 72, for a 3-round score of 73-72-72=217 and his 22nd Club Champion title, a mighty effort.
Runner-up was Brett Stone (76-77-79=232), with Mat Dennis (80-81-78=239) in third place.
Kevin Humbert played solid golf to win the A grade nett title with 69-67-71=207 by eight shots from Brett Stone (70-72-73=215), with Stuart Newton (73-70-74=217) in third.
B Grade proved to be the thriller. Steve Holt was 6 shots off the lead at the start of the day but returned a fine round of 82 (39 on the inward 9) to finish with 85-92-82= 259 and tie with the consistent Andy Freemantle 86-87-86=259.
They will play an 18 hole play-off next Saturday to decide the winner. Ian Haines (83-88-91=262) was 3 shots behind in third.
The B grade nett title was a very close finish with seven players separated by only seven shots.
Captain Mark Lyons defended his lead to finish with 68-71-71=210 and win from Ron Dixon 74-67-70=211 with Andy Freemantle 70-71-71=212 third.
With a terrific round of 89 (42 on the inside 9), Bowden Stone charged home to win the C grade title with his three rounds of 89-101-90=279, by four shots from Tom Scurrah (94-93-96=283).
Matt Higgins (94-98-101=293) finished third.
Tom Scurrah did however win the C grade nett title with his scores of 71-70-73=214 by a comfortable eight shots from Matt Higgins 70-75-77=222 and Jacob Haines 80-69-73=222.The veterans title was won by Kevin Humbert (207), which was also the best for the entire club.
Runner-up was Mark Lyons (210), followed by Ron Dixon (211).

Neither the Echuca CIH eagles nest on the 3rd, nor Captain Bricka’s yardstick on the 16th was won.
The ladies played the second round of their club championships last Wednesday.
Annette Brereton’s good form continued with her score of 86-15-71 to win A grade and best on course.
Pauline Humbert made a welcome return to form with her round of 99-27-72 to finish runner-up in A grade, which could have been better if not for a nasty 10 on the card.
Jan Clymo won B grade by three shots from Lois Chugg.

Annette Brereton has a comfortable lead in the race for the club champion title, while Marg Eade leads B grade by seven shots.
The contest for the putting champion is always keenly contested with Annette Brereton (54) just in front of Jenny Holt (55), Carolyn Mitchell (56) and Kathy Connors (58).
