MAGS has lots to offer

By Alex Gretgrix

MOAMA Anglican Grammar was founded in 2005 to offer families of the Campaspe/Murray area the option of an independent school.

Since its foundation, the school has developed into a centre of excellence in learning, where each student is encouraged and supported to reach their potential.

We are a unique school as we offer education to children from kindergarten (five years) to year 12 on a single campus in Moama.

Our campus is an extensive and beautiful environment that offers students access to specialist facilities and plenty of space to play and enjoy themselves.

Our early primary students flourish in small classes where the focus for learning is establishing literacy and numeracy skills that are vital for all children.

The curriculum offered throughout primary is about the development of the whole child and includes creative subjects of art and music, Italian, physical development and sport for all children.

At particular stages of primary school there are also special programs such as the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden in years three and four and specialist science and technology in years five and six.

At the Senior Secondary end of schooling we work with the NSW Higher School Certificate, which is a highly recognised qualification within Australia and internationally.

Our students have achieved excellent results over recent years, and we have seen the majority of our students continue to tertiary studies.

The NSW curriculum offers the option of school based apprenticeships or traineeships for students in years 11 and 12 who are interested in pursuing a trade or transitioning to work after school.

We are proud of the academic progress of our students but we are also very proud of our pastoral care program, which supports the mental health and wellbeing of students throughout their education.

Our staff are exceptional professionals who work tirelessly for the benefit of our students in a warm and welcoming school.
