Glenrowan and Winton primary schools believe a child’s experience in primary school should be enjoyable and fun.
Colin Robson, who is principal of both schools, said they were great advocates for teachers building positive, genuine relationships with the students across the schools.
Mr Robson said staff were passionate, enthusiastic and focused on learning.
“They care for each student and understand the individual’s needs both emotionally and academically,” he said.
“Our motto ‘Caring for our Community’s Future’ is very much the direction we follow evidenced by the strong partnerships between school, parents and the wider community to provide our children with the very best opportunities.
“The strong home-school partnerships are a feature of our schools and this relationship contributes to the high level of student achievement and ensures the provision of a quality educational program for our children.”
Mr Robson said due to the size of both Glenrowan and Winton schools they offer a setting is often described as a ‘family atmosphere’. He said parents were encouraged to participate in all aspects of school life.
“At both Winton and Glenrowan schools we strive to provide our children with engaging educational opportunities as well as building responsible and caring future citizens.”
