KFC has reacted swiftly to lettuce demanding a much higher salary, with the fast food giant opting to get cabbage in the mid-season draft.
Lettuce has been retained for now but is being given limited game time and sharing mid-Zinger Burger time with cabbage.
Oddie was forced to try it out yesterday and can report it was tasty, and just a little bit crunchier on the tooth.
More vegetables likely to be benched
AUSVEG, which represents all the major players, has revealed that capsicum and spinach, and even onions, are expected to up their pay demands over coming months.
It all looks good for team coleslaw, which is expected to perform well in the absence of any decent opposition.
Bad guy goes with banjo
Oddie has to concur with Shepparton police who asked the question “Who would steal a banjo?”
Well, a recent burglary was committed at a Shepparton residence where a young male was observed fleeing across the backyard with the occupants’ Fender banjo.
Clearly he wasn’t a banjo player, because in Oddie’s experience they are nice, happy people who respect each other’s instruments.
If you can help in any way please contact Shepparton police on 5820 5777 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
