The newly formed Mistykid has already produced three videos of performances in the past month, with another one in production and four shorter films planned.
Mistykid comprises Goulburn Valley Grammar School Year 11 student Tom Nethersole, 17, dance teachers Emilie Harrison, 22, and Robert Baxter, 21, with his sister Angela, 13, in Year 8 at Notre Dame Secondary College.
Together they have produced three covers of songs by Billie Eilish, Griff and Olivia Rodrigo and are booked to perform live at Shepparton's Out in the Open festival from October 28 to November 7.
The foursome uses close harmony singing, backing tracks and slickly produced videos filmed by Tom to create a mix of moody and upbeat sounds and image.
Tom said they were now working on original songs, with Tom on guitar and Robert on piano.
“We've met up on social media and we've become close friends really quickly. It's exciting and we're ambitious for the future,” Tom said.
