On Saturday, the Cubs — aged from eight to 10 — battled the winds on Shepparton's Victoria Park Lake and put their rafts to the test in the annual District Cub Raft Race.
The race brings Cubs from across the region together to teach them about the beauty of teamwork while developing their practical skills.
After a few sinks and slips the Cubs dried-off and joined their parents and friends for a barbecue lunch.
The raft race was held on Scout movement founder Robert Baden-Powell's birthday, and the Cubs had a birthday cake to honour the former first Chief Scout.
New regional Scout commissioner Darren Leckie was also inducted into his role at the family fun day.
The event gave Mr Leckie an opportunity to introduce himself to the local groups and reaffirm his Scout promise.
