Goulburn Valley Concert Orchestra director Wendy Oakes said performers will gather at the music hub Chapel on Maude to present a variety concert from 2 pm to 3 pm on Saturday, February 22.
Mrs Oakes said performances will include solos from Shepparton Theatre Arts Group singers Nicky Pummeroy, Jan Dean and Phil Oakes as well as musical brackets from the orchestra, Shepparton Brass and Wind and Shepparton choir 36 Degrees South.
Mrs Oakes said all proceeds from the concert will be equally divided between the Bendigo Bank and Resound bushfire appeals. Resound is a Brisbane-based charity which works to help musicians by replacing instruments lost in bushfires. More information can be found on Facebook at Resound Bushfire Appeal.
Concert tickets will be sold at the venue door, the former Wesley Church at 160 Maude St from 1.30 pm. Tickets are $10 for adults with children free. Raffle tickets will also be available to buy. Afternoon tea will be served in the adjacent hall at the end of the concert for a gold coin donation.
