Two people were taken to hospital following a collision in Shepparton yesterday morning.
Shepparton Police Senior Constable Sarah Trewin said the collision occurred just before 8 am at the intersection of Numurkah and Balaclava Rds.
Sen Const Trewin said a vehicle travelling on Numurkah Rd collided with another vehicle travelling east on Balaclava Rd.
The drivers of both vehicles, women aged 25 and 36, were taken to Goulburn Valley Health by ambulance for assessment.
An ambulance media spokesperson confirmed the women were taken to hospital in a stable condition with injuries to their upper bodies.
Sen Const Trewin said both of the vehicles suffered significant damage during the collision.
Police and ambulance personnel remained at the scene for some time, with traffic in the area disrupted for about 30 minutes.
Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
