New developments coming to Shepparton

Another gym is on Shepparton's horizon, as well as veterinary clinic and fruit processing developments, after planning approvals were authorised by Greater Shepparton City Council.

Located inside the Shepparton Homemaker Centre on Benalla Rd, the gym will be a 24-hour facility with a maximum capacity of about 70 people.

The site will be developed by Melbourne-based company Derrimut 24:7 Gym, which currently owns gyms across Victoria and in Adelaide.

The council planning team confirmed the site would have no formal classes and would have about three staff or trainers on site at any one time.

GV VETS will be expanding their business, with plans to add another treatment room and more modern amenities upstairs for their staff. The clinic will expanding from three treatment rooms to four.

Fruit processing will soon be under way once again at 16 Young St, Mooroopna, as part of the $15 million FRUITCo project funded by the Federal Government and Geoffrey Thompson.

The site is the historic SPC Ardmona building and will include coolstore facilities.
