Since losing the Mooroopna Farmers' Market, Mooroopna Lions Club president Uwe De Temple said members had been on the look out for a new commitment.
“We have about 24 members with an average age between 50 to 60, therefore we have an ageing membership,” Mr De Temple said.
“Raising money for The Lions Cord Blood Foundation not only supplies The Fight Cancer Foundation with storage of cord blood units but keeps our name in the community."
Club member Colin Smith said the foundation was formerly known as the Bone Marrow Donor Institute.
He said the foundation collected cord blood units from the umbilical cord of newborns to help children battling leukaemia.
The raffle was drawn on Wednesday with the $300 Woolworths voucher awarded to Lyn Schramm from Tatura.
