Gumtree destroys cars in Shepparton

Shepparton Police sergeant Trent Buscall said two of the three cars were heavily damaged, however there was no one in the vehicles at the time.

"Luckily there was no one in the vehicles or walking past at the time," Sgt Buscall said. 

A Greater Shepparton City Council spokesperson said staff are currently clearing the scene. 

"Council’s Tree crew are currently onsite removing fallen and broken tree branches," the spokesperson said.

The remainder of the tree has been assessed and will be removed by the end of the day.
