Planned power outages around Greater Shepparton

Update, 1.30pm: Powercor crews and control room have safely restored power to all customers in the Shepparton area.

At around 10.50am a fault occurred on an underground cable that impacted power supply to more than 1000 customers.

Power was progressively restored by 12.15pm. 

12.15pm: Power is now back on at the Shepparton Marketplace with staff allowed back inside the centre.

It is not known when stores will resume trading.

11.45pm: More than 450 customers are currently without power around Greater Shepparton.

The News understands a total of 454 customers from Shepparton East, Grahamvale, Pine Lodge, Cosgrove and Cosgrove South have been without power since just before 11am due to a planned outage.

Marketplace in Shepparton has also been affected with the centre currently closed for business.

The News understands staff have been told the power is expected to be off until around 3pm today.
