So Kyabram District Health Services’ Sheridan Aged Care facility now has the option to have medical care provided by two GPs from Kyabram Scope Medical Centre.
This further medical offering supports a seamless transition for residents familiar with Scope GPs and/or residents who choose to have their care managed at Sheridan by either of the two Scope doctors.
Doctors Munef Al-Jawabreh and Ghaleb Jaber will be available for residents in collaboration with Aged Care nurse unit manager Harman Dhanesar.
“Working at KDHS means we can continue to provide care for our patients if they become residents at Sheridan Aged Care, meaning that they don't have to change GPs,” Dr Al-Jawabreh said.
“Sometimes when you have been seeing a GP for so long you might not want to change if you decide to move to Sheridan, so now Ghaleb and myself can continue to care for our patients every step of the way if they want to.”
The addition to Sheridan's enhanced access to local GPs is just one of the developments announced at the KDHS AGM last November.
“Both of us live in Kyabram and have been working at Scope, which is situated nearby to KDHS, so I already know some of the residents here,” Dr Al-Jawabreh said.
