If the year feels like it’s flown by, perhaps it’s time to slow down and smell the roses — literally.
The Kyabram Garden Club are preparing for their annual Flower Show on Friday, October 25 — and you’re invited.
This year it has moved venues to the Senior Citizens Centre, and with ample space and plenty of parking it will make for an excellent new home.
The show will feature the people’s choice Annual Floral Art competition, with prize money of $50, $30 and $20 up for grabs.
There are no restrictions on theme except to keep your entry to a reasonable size.
A wide range of local green thumbs will display their horticultural handiwork in other categories, and there will be club members on hand to chat about gardening in town.
Proceeds from the day will go to the KCLC’s community dinner program, which helps to feed local families in need.
“This is the garden club’s main event and is a great promotion for gardening in Kyabram,” club member Cam Macdermid said.
“It’s also a fantastic chance to showcase the beautiful plants in town.”
Local gardeners are encouraged to bring flowers, pot plants and floral art for display.
The Annual Spring Flower Show will be held from 10am. Entry is $3.
