Kyabram had its on-ball unit to thank for its win last Saturday, the likes of Kaine Herbert, Zac Keogh and Anthony DePasquale getting their hands on the footy and using it to good effect.

The Bombers won the contested possession count by 12, ground-ball gets and tackles by 11, and cleaned up uncontested possessions by a staggering 89.

Herbert was at the heart of most good things for Kyabram, and chalked up 38 possessions, 11 contested and 27 contested possessions, 19 handball receives and 11 ground-ball gets.

The Bombers’ dominance around the contest allowed them to lock the ball inside the Saints’ defensive 50 for large portions of the game.

Kyabram won the inside-50 count by a mammoth 60-31.

The Bombers’ efficiency by hand and foot was also a major factor behind their success.

The home side registered an impressive kicking efficiency percentage of 73, and an exceptional 89 per cent efficiency by hand.

Bombers young gun Anthony DePasquale produced one of his more impressive performances of the year and went at 83 per cent efficiency by foot.

A solid 28-disposal game is his highest this year, while 25 uncontested possessions and 16 marks helped complement a dominant outing.
