Graduates from Mooroopna Primary School's class of 1959 came together for their 60-year reunion at the Mooroopna Golf Club on Saturday evening.

Organiser Wendy Korsten (née Devereux) said 21 former students — nearly half the number that graduated — enjoyed a "meal and mingle".

“We had a round-the-table talk where everyone shared one memory from their primary school days,” she said.

Maureen Ingram (née Musgrove), who also organised the event, said it was like walking "into a room of 11- and 12-year-olds".

She said guests came from near and far to "reminisce and share stories from the good old days".
