More than 250 competitors are expected to strut their stuff for a excited crowd, competing in 26 different events which include bull and bronc rides, roping events, steer wrestling and barrel racing.
The mercury is expected to reach atypically Australian summer high of 38.
As a championship round in the Australia Pro Rodeo Association schedule, the Finley event will attract some of the big names of rodeo from across the country.
Many of the APRA competition leaders, based on results since the season opened in October, will be pulling on the boots at Finley.
Terry Evison from Victoria is currently leading the All Round Cowboy competition with earnings so far this season of $2818.
He has put his name down to compete in three events at Finley - the steer wrestling, team roping and rope and tie events.
The one to watch in the open bull ride will be Jown Down. The Victorian leads the competition with earning of $2000.
Queenslander Gavin Fry will give it his all in the saddle broc to retain his lead.
His earning so far total $1165, with Victorian Cody Tyrrell on his heels with $880 in earnings and also competing at Finley.
Also strapping in for the saddle bronc this year will be Tim Hammond, who claimed the title in this section at Finley in 2018.
He has a point to prove after failing to place in 2019, but he so far sits outside the top nine in the APRA standings.
Also looking for redemption from his 2019 performance will be 2018 Finley rope and tie champion Clay Bush.
But it might be a tough contest for Bush too, who also sits outside the top nine in APRA standings.
He will come up against Evison who sits at seconds in the standing for rope and tie, and front runner Lochlan Flanagan.
Two other competitors in the top nine of the rope and tie standings - Daneil Flanagan and Glen W Perkins - will compete in the team roping only.
