The hugely popular hit musical will be staged at Westside Performing Arts Centre from September 4 to 12.
Show director Shannon Orlandi said STAG was looking for a high-energy troupe of singers, dancers and actors as well as backstage volunteers to help stage the show, which features the music of ABBA pop masters Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus.
“This is an exciting feel-good show packed with great songs — it's really a love letter to ABBA,” Mr Orlandi said.
“Every production of Mamma Mia! I have seen has had the audience up on its feet dancing by the end of the show.”
The jukebox musical premiered in 1999 and has since been performed to popular acclaim across the world, including in London's West End and on Broadway.
The hit songs include Dancing Queen, Voulez-Vous, S.O.S., Take a Chance on Me, The Winner Takes It All, title song Mamma Mia and a host of other memorable ABBA favourites.
The musical tells the story of a daughter's quest to discover the identity of her father. She brings three men from her mother's past back to the Greek island they last visited 20 years ago.
A film adaptation was released in 2008 starring Meryl Streep, Colin Firth, Pierce Brosnan and Julie Walters. A sequel with most of the same cast appeared in 2018.
STAG veterans Brian and Sharon Davis will musically direct the new production and newcomer Cassie Willis will choreograph the show.
The Mamma Mia! information night will be held on Tuesday, February 4 from 7 pm to 8.30 pm at STAG's Bakehouse facility at 17 Wheeler St, Shepparton.
