Dancer Kaye Rossignoli said each year the group welcomed new members who would like to learn how to dance 1950s and 1960s rock 'n' roll style.
“It's always a fantastic social atmosphere with lots of friendships made,” Ms Rossignoli said.
The Cool Cats’ regular weekly sessions start on Tuesday, February 11, at Shepparton's Wesley Hall, Maude St from 7pm to 8pm and will continue throughout the year on Tuesday evenings.
Ms Rossignoli said the rock 'n' roll dance style was perfect for beginners as no partner was needed.
“You start slowly - and you don't need to know a step. The instructors know some people will have two left feet - but that's fine,” she said.
Cool Cats dancers will present their first performance of the year on Saturday, February 15, at St Augustine's Hall, Orr St, from 8pm featuring Melbourne band The Delmatics.
Ms Rossignoli said the pastime was all about fun and friendship.
“Rock 'n' roll dancing combines the art of socialising, making new friends, having fun and also keeping fit, she said.
Dance lessons cost $10 a week every Tuesday at Wesley Hall from February 11.
