GOULBURN Murray Cricket’s T20 competition will come to a smashing end on Sunday with the semi-finals and final set to take place at Rochester Recreation Reserve.

In the semis starting at 9.30am, Moama will face off against Leitchville-Gunbower meanwhile Rochester will take on Bamawm-Lockington United.

The final will take place at 1pm on Windridge Oval.

GMC round 8

Echuca South will have a major task on their hands as they look to add to their round 7 win.

They will host second placed Tongala for this two day clash, a side with a strong 4-2 record on the year.

Moama will look to put some more breathing space between the top four and bottom four, as they take on fifth placed Rochester at home.

The Magpies, along with Cooma and Tonny sit six points clear of Rochester, so a victory for the black and white would make Rochester's back half of the year a difficult task.

Echuca will be looking to put their season back on track as they take on third placed Cooma.

After a shocking loss to South on the weekend, Echuca sits 18 points off fourth spot, and will desperately need to start winning if they are any chance of a finals berth.

Top side Kyabram Fire Brigade will head to BLU as they look to further extend their lead at the top of the competition.

After a two-week layoff, weekend pennant bowls makes its return on Saturday.

Top side Tongala will be in for one of the longer road trips in the sport as they head to Mathoura to attempt to extend their five point lead at the top of the table.

Moama will look to continue their resurgence as they host Deniliquin, while second and third placed Echuca and Rich River will both hit the road.

In mid-week, Moama will look to remain undefeated when they host Deniliquin.

Deni has just one win on the season, so will likely struggle against the power of the ladder leaders.

Echuca will have more of a challenge on their hands, as the reigning premiers play off with third placed Mathoura at home.

Bottom side Rich River will host Rochester.

CTA round 9

Echuca Lawn 2 enter the round with a four point lead over reigning premiers Rich River 1, and will look to add to that lead in their home clash with third placed Echuca South 1.

Echuca Lawn 1 and Rich River 1 will also be at home to Rochester 1 and 2 respectively, while South 2 will have to make the journey to Elmore.

GMLTA round 8

It will be a long trip for Rich River, as they cross the river to take on Echuca Rochester in their GM1 clash.

The two sides currently sit in the bottom two spots on the ladder, and will be desperately hunting a victory.
