Tayla Gittens takes runners-up honours at PDFNL vote count

MATHOURA'S Tayla Gittens has been rewarded for a strong season after finishing equal second in the Picola and District League B grade netball vote count.

Gittens polled 16 votes alongside three other players to finish five votes behind winner Jordyn Sutton from Katunga.

The Timbercutters B grade side enjoyed a strong season after reaching the semi-finals before falling at the hands of Berrigan.

In C grade, Katrina Wippel was Mathoura's best performer after polling 14 votes to stand alone in eighth position.

Meanwhile Brianna De Rooze was recognised for her performances this season after finishing fourth in the C reserve count with 16 votes.

Clint Atkinson was the best performed Mathoura footballer on the night, finishing with 11 votes from just six games in the reserves count.
