Coolabah Turf has long held the belief that to have a healthy business, you must have strong, vibrant communities in which to live, work and play.
"We recognise the importance of our community engagement and partnerships at a local and regional level,” said Coolabah Turf owner, Suzie Shearer.
"Coolabah Turf would not be the company we are today without the support of our amazing community. In return we are committed to supporting local sporting clubs and not for profit organisations through the formal framework of our Community Sponsorship Program.”
"At Coolabah Turf we don’t just sell lawn we change lives. Not just with the supply of quality turfgrass products and the associated physical and mental health benefits this brings, but through our commitment to promoting active lifestyles and building healthy communities through our almost 20-year-old Community Sponsorship Program.”
Each year Coolabah Turf contributes between $30,000 and $40,000 to various community groups, sporting clubs, schools, inclusion programs and various charity organisations – all of whom underpin the very fabric of our society.
While Coolabah Turf is involved in the local sporting community from a business perspective, Suzie said her connection is also a personal one.
"I’ve got three young boys and I feel so thankful every day that we’re involved in local cubs like the Echuca Football Netball club, tri club and cycling club – where we are so lucky to have quality role models external to our family helping to shape the minds of our own little tribe,” she said.
"We believe that local sporting clubs are the heart and soul of our community and are certainly key in helping groom future leaders for our region.”
