Echuca police seek witnesses to near-crash

A small, modern, black sedan - without headlights on - was travelling in the opposite direction and overtook in foggy conditions, causing the woman to take evasive action, resulting in her car spinning out of control.

The woman was not injured, and her car did not seem to be damaged, but she was shaken up.

Police are appealing for anyone who was driving on McKenzie Rd and witnessed what happened or has any dash-cam footage of the incident to ring Echuca police on 5483 1500 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Police are also advising drivers to be careful on the roads during winter.

“The roads can be icy and visibility is lower than normal so a reduction in speed, extra caution and the use of fog lights or driving lights would be appreciated,” a police spokesperson said.
