No, it's not one of their renowned beestings, after eight years as Beechworth Bakery's office manager, she has been given the nod to become the Echuca store's new bakery manager.
Her skill and friendly smile made her the obvious choice, but before her step up, or even her original title, she had an even bigger job on her hands.
"I was a stay-at-home Mum for 10 years before I started at the bakery," Simone said.
"When the kids were old enough, I decided I wanted to go to work."
Simone heard about the position through members of the community and it wasn't long before she was stepping through the doors to start her new career.
Despite leaving her family at home, she was able to become part of a whole new family at the bakery.
"We now have 52 staff members ranging in age from 15 to 67 and from all different backgrounds," she said.
"Having been here for so long, I know everyone and having this amazing bakery family will help me as I learn and settle into this new role."
Beechworth Bakery managing director Marty Matassoni knew Simone was the right fit for this new position.
"Simone's been working for me for a long time and I know she's a really friendly, community-minded person," he said.
"She's a very balanced and loyal employee who's very business-minded. When anything needs to be done, she always gets in and helps."
Needless to say, Simone has and always will have a special place in her heart for the business.
"I'm just really passionate about the Beechworth Bakery. I know the brand and I know the staff and this was a great step up I wanted to take," she said.
