Two one-hour film reels of short films, with a short intermission, will be held on Sunday at 2pm at the Paramount.
Presented by the City of Port Phillip, in partnership with Echuca Foundry Arts Space, the festival supports the Australian film industry by turning the spotlight on a wide range of quality films by emerging artists and short works by accomplished artists.
According to festival organisers, the tour ensures film buffs around the state have the opportunity to view the year's exceptional short film entries from the nation's leading film-making talent, including best short film Judas Collar, plus personalised picks from festival director Paul Harris.
Tickets are available at the Paramount.
In addition to the main festival, a group of young film makers from St Joseph's College will be showing a selection of short films at 6.30pm on September 9 at the Paramount.
Tickets are available from the Paramount for $5.
Foundry Arts representative Maree Santilla and St Joseph's College media teacher Matthew Scott are hoping this will be the starting point to grow an annual local film makers event.
