He will join the drumming and percussion faculty, to help meet a growing demand from prospective students.
Mr Ladson has been playing drums for 25 years. He started with the Deniliquin Municipal Band, and quickly showed great promise as a musician across a wide variety of musical genres.
Throughout his drumming career, he has been fortunate to have played on some of the world’s best stages — from the Deni Ute Muster to the Sydney Opera House and lots of small pubs, RSLs and Year 12 formals in between.
‘‘Michael is a highly regarded drum teacher, having shared great successes with his students’ HSC exams, high scores in ANZCA drum set examinations and even teaching ARIA award winners,’’ South West Music director Peter Wardrobe said.
‘‘Michael is really looking forward to joining our already well respected drums and percussion faculty, and will be teaching students on Saturday mornings.’’South West Music now has eight tutors.
Anyone interested in booking a lesson with Mr Ladson or the other tutors is asked to call The Con on 5881 4736.
