Power upset Lockhart

The Power put a dent in Lockhart’s finals aspirations with a hard fought eight point victory over the visiting side. 

Conditions were cold and wintery but CDHBU got away to a good start to lead 4-0 to 1-2 at quarter time. Lockhart kicked poorly in the second quarter kicking 1-7.  

Power held a 20 point lead at three quarter time then Lockhart cut loose in the last quarter to cut the lead to 2 points before Josh Tidd kicked a goal to give the Power an eight point win.  

Blayre Smith also had a call up to Senior duties and enjoyed his first outing.

Sean’s Power boys had a ripper 41 point victory against Lockhart to keep in touch with the top six.  With Finals still a mathematical possibility!

The Power U/17’s scored a great 59 point victory to keep in touch with the final six against an undermanned Lockhart.  

Blayre Smith played a great game before he was promoted for the main event.

The young Power u/14s once again put in a spirited effort despite losing to Lockhart.  

The improvement in their team’s efforts on Saturday and at training every Tuesday must be very pleasing to coach Nick Hogan, his assistants and parents.
