The new fencing is 125 metres long and will be installed along the roadway of Betterment Parade.
The RSL Park playspace was officially opened to the public in 2018 and has fast become a popular site for local families and visitors alike.
The park’s equipment caters for a broad age group, with a double flying fox and 6m skyclimber. Other equipment featured as part of the playspace is a steam train play unit, spinner, nest swing and slides.
Federation Council Mayor Pat Bourke said following consistent feedback from the community, the installation of the new fencing was marked as a priority project for council to add to its Capital Works Program.
“Now, thanks to the Corowa RSL Club and their continued valuable support and generosity, this project has now come to fruition,” Mayor Bourke said.
“Local families and visitors will really benefit from this additional investment to the park which will ensure council continues to meet its objectives in creating safe and inclusive community spaces.
“On behalf of my fellow councillors, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Corowa RSL Club, its board and executives for continuing to support council to achieve great outcomes for the benefit of our community.”
