Region’s exports tackling festival of footy

By Cobram Courier

The rolling AFL fixture has made it tough to keep track of what day of the week it is for those of us watching on.

So spare a thought for the players themselves who have been right in the thick of the action.

Cobram's Esava Ratugolea has been rested from Geelong's past two matches - which took place within five days of each other - after putting up a strong fight against West Coast's Nic Naitanui in round nine.

Ratugolea battled hard in the ruck as the Cats went down by nine points, managing nine hitouts, four tackles, four marks and 11 disposals.

Port Adelaide continues to thrive in the 2020 campaign, sitting a game clear on top of the table after 11 rounds.

In round 10 against the Western Bulldogs, he clunked five marks and had 10 disposals in a 13-point triumph, while his round nine exploits included three marks and 10 possessions in a 51-point drubbing of the Demons.

Invergordon's Lachie Ash had nine disposals in a tight win against Essendon for Greater Western Sydney in round 10.

The Giants defeated Gold Coast in round nine - with Ash snaring six marks and 13 possessions - and rested up in round 11 with a bye.
