Mayor Libro Mustica said the funding was for businesses to access professional support services and encouraged them to apply, to better their business’ position.
“Feedback from our business community has provided insight into the effects COVID-19 has had on most industries in our shire with some businesses losing between 30 to 90 per cent of their income for periods of time,” Cr Mustica said.
“Our economic development department is offering businesses the opportunity to receive up to $1000 in professional services support through a series of one-to-one sessions.
“Moira Biz Aid will give financial support to businesses wishing to access professional support for things such as bookkeeping, accounting, software training, profit and loss statements, business planning and tax and BAS requirements among others.
“Although businesses have adapted through this difficult time, council is wanting to support them to bounce back faster.”
Applications are now open for Moira Biz Aid funding and close on Friday, May 7.
