The facility’s forced closure due to the COVID-19 outbreak came as a massive blow for the community, but the gym will welcome patrons back as of Monday, July 13, while the pool is set to follow suit on Wednesday, July 15.
COVID-19 restrictions will place a limit on how many people are permitted to use the facilities at one time.
A 50-patron cap will be enforced in the gym, which will be spread across the gymnasium, court and upstairs group fitness and circuit rooms.
Meanwhile, lap swimming will allow three people per lane for one-hour blocks – this will be formatted in a 45-minute session with a 15-minute change over.
Group fitness, learn to swim and recreational swimming will follow over the next few weeks.
