The popular event aims to inspire, encourage and support more women in riding.
Though there is strong growth in women’s cycling, festival co-organiser Clare Holdsworth said there was a strong gender imbalance in alpine cycling where road riding could be more challenging.
“Many female riders consider hills and mountains beyond their capability,” Holdsworth said.
“We want to share our knowledge, build confidence, push boundaries and help women discover new ride destinations with new friends.”
This year the festival has introduced a new initiative, "Ride to Rollasons" to help provide a halfway option for cyclists new to riding.
“Experienced ride leaders will escort the riders to a halfway turnaround point, providing tips and building confidence to ensure a safe, enjoyable and rewarding ride,” co-organiser Michelle Armstrong said.
The weekend will also include a number of sessions, including bike mechanics, riding skill clinics, produce rides, yoga as well as a dinner celebration.
