Benalla Pony Club is set to return this week, with the club holding a rally on Sunday, June 7.
It was announced by Pony Club Victoria on March 28 all Pony Club events and activities had to cease until further notice, as stage three COVID-19 restrictions were enforced.
But with government restrictions easing this week, the Club has moved ahead in planning its first event since the lockdown.
In a post to Facebook, the Club said “this was the new ‘normal” and there would be a number of changes in place.
Strict guidelines and hygiene practices will be in place to ensure the health and safety all members, with up to three small sized groups scheduled to ride throughout the morning and afternoon.
Riders must RSVP for events and cannot turn up on the day without one, while riders will be allocated times for their sessions - where they must swiftly arrive and depart in accordance to guidelines.
