The team knew this game was an important one to win. The Bears started strong and never really looked back. Hannah continues to show her versatility starting the game in centre and ending in defence.
With many intercepts and turnovers giving Tungamah extra opportunities at goal. The combination of Di and Haylea in goals worked really well with Di controlling the goal ring and giving clear directions to the midcourt to feed the ball in.
Amber showed her defensive pressure and drive out of defence and played a really controlled game. Overall, it was an awesome team effort and just showed what the group is capable of when they work together, communicate, and have fun.
Thanks to Charli Cummins for providing an extra rotation option.
Awards: Di Bourke best on - One Zach, Amber Peachey coaches award - Belles Café and Hannah Moore players player

Coming up against a team higher on the ladder, the Bears knew they had to be switched on from the first centre pass - and they were!
The first quarter was tightly contested, and the Kats lead by 4 at the first break.
A lot of turnovers at both ends saw their lead extended to 9 at half time. Coach Bridget had the team’s refocus at the long break and they came out absolutely firing in the third to win the quarter by a goal. Facing an 8-goal different at the last break the team kept fighting for every possession and kept the final margin to 13.
A fantastic team performance with so much defensive pressure across the entire court creating many turnovers.
The positivity on and off the court was obvious and the team were so proud of their efforts against a much taller opposition.
Awards: Miss Dolly and Players Player - Jade Ralph and Free as a Bird - Amy Hollister.

Cracking game this weekend with all the girls clicking and working well together. They were off to an amazing start with a strong in mid-court with Claire and Poppy.
Keira took her intercept challenge seriously with 5 in the first quarter. Chloe worked on her high-fives and Asha drove hard to get off the baseline to get in front.
Chaye and Grace followed with the intercepts and rebounding every missed shot. By half time Tunga were 26 to 1.
In the second half, Zippy Sienna put some great pressure on creating some more intercepts, and Paige continued the shooting momentum. The girls won 48 to 4.
The sponsors were Yarrawonga Golf and Crusty Loaf bakery, and the awards went to Sienna Asha and Paige.

The mini Bears played a great game on Saturday. They continue to show that they can adapt to their opposition and listen to what the coaches are asking of them.
Their defensive pressure meant they got lots of turnovers and as the game went on their driving for the ball improved.
Ruby had a fantastic finish in GS slotting goals from everywhere. Winnie, although the smallest member of the team, plays like she is 10ft tall and always has her eyes on the ball.
Eliza L continues to impress her coaches with her skills in defence and her positivity to the team. Charlotte started the game against one of the tallest opponents the club has seen this year. She played in front and got lots of intercepts.
Overall, a great game by all of the girls.
Awards: Crusty Loaf – Eliza L, Tungamah General Store – Winnie, Tungamah Hair Tie - Ruby and Charlotte.
