Mulwala 21 defeated by Rumbalara 41.
Going down 21 to 41 with some early withdrawals and last-minute team changes, they were not off to a strong start.
Legend EJ stepped up from B grade and played a ripper game in GS holding her own. Superstar Tess continued to take risks and put her body on the line throughout the middle, alongside the glass girls and G playing a ripper in goals.
Lara once again shut down their GS creating many turnovers. Well done girls on the team effort.
Yippee great % booster for these girls winning 58 to 21. Having a few out each week these girls are becoming very versatile which proved in last weekend’s game when young guns Mikayla and Kealy stepped up to play in defence with Freya.
And the legend Tayla playing in 3 different positions. These girls did not give their opponents a chance from that blow of the first whistle.

A tough game going down by 5, 19 to 24. They started strong these little Lioness cubs! 1ST quarter, with the Bears up but Rumba so accurate in the second and were back behind by 2 at half time.
The Lions girls dug deep in the 3rd being up by 2 going into the last, but again Rumba had a strong last quarter securing the win, all girls fought hard and attacked the ball well.

A challenging game this week required the Lioness cubs to be on their toes and calling for the ball. They worked hard getting the ball forward and used their skills to cover in defence.
With some more drills and skills to work on this week, the young guns will continue to improve.
