Parishioners of Sacred Heart Yarrawonga and extended family thanked Sr Eileen Dowling for her service to the Parish on Sunday, March 3.

Sr Eileen has been providing pastoral care to the Parishioners of Yarrawonga including the aged, sick and dying since 2012.
Eileen Dowling grew up at ‘Pine Wells’ Mulwala before she joined the Mercy Order in 1953 and has worked in many areas including Delaraine in Tasmania, North Melbourne, Bendigo and Fitzroy.
Father Steve Bowen paid tribute to Sr Eileen for her generosity, selflessness and commitment in her work.
This was followed by a delicious morning tea with a speech by Sr Eileen, where she also thanked the people of Yarrawonga for their support during her recent illness.
Sr Eileen will now reside at Mercy Care in East Melbourne but hopes that she will still be able to make some visits back to the area.
