OUR Lady of the Sacred Heart School (OLSH) is a community that is learning and living in the tradition of the OLSH spirit. Its motto is ‘May the Sacred Heart of Jesus be everywhere loved’, and with that in mind parents, teachers, students and the wider community work in partnership to provide a nurturing and innovative learning environment. The social, emotional, academic, physical and spiritual wellbeing of all students and families is a priority for all at OLSH. Their focus is always on the learner and how best to meet their needs in an ever-changing world. Staff work to ensure that all students achieve the best in all they undertake.
The staff at OLSH work in partnership with families to nurture their child’s development. They guide, support and assist every child in every possible way and take a genuine interest in the welfare of all students. The role of parents in the education of their children is vitally important and their active involvement and participation in the life of the school is encouraged.
OLSH is a Catholic school that has religious education lessons that all students participate in. In saying that, students and families do not need to be Catholic or baptised, however, they encourage all to participate in their gatherings of faith and community. School fees play a role in their ability to ensure all students receive the best possible opportunities in their education but a family’s capacity to contribute will always be taken into consideration.
‘Little Chevies’, the ‘Stepping into School’ transition program, begins on Friday, July 26. Prior to ‘Little Chevies’ beginning, all interested persons are invited to visit Our Lady of the Sacred Heart School for a Learning Walk on Wednesday, July 17 from 9.30am. During this time tours of the school will be taken and there will be time for discussion and questions over morning tea. Should this time not suit, people are encouraged to call the office and schedule a tour at another time.
Our Lady of the Sacred Heart School seeks to educate students to be self-aware, compassionate, collaborative and courageous. OLSH is a Child Safe School and promotes the care, safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all students.
We look forward to showing you all we have to offer.
