Thanks to the ABC for the story that was Gatwick: The Last Chance Hotel.
A moving portrayal of people, the owners, the residents and what St Kilda meant to those that lived as part of the Gatwick Private Hotel.
The two ladies that ran the accommodation had hearts of gold and worked to provide a home for those less fortunate, or institutions where no-one else seemed to supply a need — more than just a roof and bed.
Well done ABC TV and the producers.
Please could we have a re-run so more people might just get to see what human spirit and kindness is all about and give those ladies a medal.
Hoping a book will be in the making of the truly interesting history of the Gatwick Private Hotel.
