A woman was flown to the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne in a serious condition this morning following a single vehicle collision in Dookie.

Shepparton Police Highway Patrol Acting Sergeant Murray Morser said the woman, 78, was travelling on the Dookie-Devenish Rd just before 11.30am when her car veered off the road.
‘‘An elderly female has drifted off the road and hit a tree,’’Sgt Morser said.
Ambulance Victoria, Country Fire Authority and Search and Rescue personnel attended the scene to help safely remove the woman from the vehicle.
An Ambulance media spokesperson said paramedics transported the woman via air ambulance to the Alfred Hospital.
‘‘(She) was flown by air ambulance helicopter to the Alfred Hospital in a serious condition with serious upper body injuries,’’ they said.
Sgt Morser said the cause of the collision was still under investigation.
‘‘She has drifted off the road for some unknown reason, the cause is still being investigated.’’
