Grass fire at Mooroopna’s Peter Ross-Edwards Causeway

Emergency services were notified of a grass fire beside Mooroopna's Peter Ross-Edwards causeway at 2:10 pm today.

Five vehicles from the CFA and The Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning were on scene along with Police and a bob-cat.

The fire is now under control and a smoke warning has been issued for the area.

The cause of the 1.5 hectare fire has not been determined and Police are treating the unknown cause as suspicious while investigations are underway.
