Child care centre raises funds for drought-affected farmers

By Shepparton News

A sea of young farmers arrived at Guthrie St Child Care Centre last week to raise funds for drought-affected farmers, donning their best flannelette shirt, straw hats and work boots for the cause.

The week-long campaign has seen the young children and parents raise $540 towards supporting drought-affected communities in NSW and Queensland, with the centre matching the donation, seeing a total of $1080 raised.

The funds raised will go towards supporting the Burrumbuttock Hay Runners, who transport donated hay to communities and farmers in need.
