Katrina and Billy Ogden have been donating the sheep to the Bendigo Saleyards for the past six years, with proceeds going to the Good Friday Appeal.
Mrs Ogden said they were both thrilled to see their lambs go for $400/head, thanking those who purchased the lambs for ‘‘digging a little bit deeper’’.
‘‘It’s a great result, we’re just really happy with the result,’’ she said.
‘‘I just want to say thanks to the wool buyers and Elders, our agents, who helped us get the result.’’
While the sale of 10 lambs has become a tradition for the Ogdens, they’re also well known for their annual shearing day held on Bill and Val Barlow’s Rushworth property.
Last year the shearing day raised $53620 for the hospital.
‘‘It’s not hard for us to get stuck in and put something together to raise some money,’’ Mrs Ogden said.
