Sheep producers will be able to contribute to the annual fundraiser for the Royal Children’s Hospital at Shepparton Regional Saleyards this Friday.
The appeal raised about $18000 last year.
Joint co-ordinator Alan Shields said he hoped farmers would again support the drive by donating sheep for the auction, starting at 10am on Friday before the regular weekly Shepparton sheep sale.
‘‘There are no yard dues or agents’ commission, so everything goes to the hospital,’’ Mr Shields said. ‘‘Everyone just has to remember to fill out their NVDs.’’
A feature of the auction will be the sale of an 18-month-old flock ram donated by the McCartneys from Yentrac, Mooroopna.
Last year about 90 head were donated for the auction.
