Give a pet a home: Ruby

By Shepparton News

Do not be fooled by this face, Ruby is a friendly young dog who is looking for a new home.

She is being housed at the Shepparton Animal Shelter in Wanganui Rd and hopes to be adopted soon.

Ruby is a 12-month-old female bull Arab cross.

She is mostly tan in colour with a white patch of hair running the length of her stomach.

Those who know Ruby say she can be shy when she first meets someone, but with some patience and encouragement she quickly warms to them.

Her ideal owner would be someone who is strong, confident and experienced with dogs.

Ruby is looking for someone who will commit to taking her to obedience training and work on improving her socialisation.

Ruby specifically requires someone who can offer stability, enrichment and exercise.

At times Ruby is known to be a little unaware of her size, meaning she would not be an appropriate pet for someone with children under 10 years of age.

She would love to have visitors at the shelter, and meet a family willing to adopt her.

She can be yours for $320, which includes vet check, initial vaccination, microchip, flea and worm treatment, desexing and Greater Shepparton City Council registration.

Expressions of interest can be made to the Shepparton Animal Shelter, phone 58329700. The shelter, on Wanganui Rd, is open weekdays from 9.15am to 4.30pm.
