Reid Crowe is one of several players in the mix for promotion after a standout game in the reserves against Mansfield last Saturday week in his second appearance in Kyabram colours.
Crowe, a skillful and mobile small man, won Shepparton United’s best and fairest award in the 2017 season so is no stranger to GVL football.
Reid is one of several players pressing for promotion to the unbeaten Bombers team.
With full back Josh Vick ruled out with a hamstring injury, co-captain Brad Edwards in doubt with a shoulder injury — both sustained in the Mansfield game — and a question mark over the fitness of Tom Holman, who copped a corked leg in last Saturday’s interleague clash, there will be some spots up for grabs in the senior team.
Tough utility Axel Child, who has missed the last two games, will be available for this game as will rising star Riley Ironside from the Bendigo Pioneers.
Ironside starred on a wing in his only senior appearance against Shepparton in the second round.
Also up for promotion for this game are Locky Dillon and Cade Mueller, who have been in good form in the reserves.
Co-coach of the Bombers Paul Newman said he was expecting a tough game against Seymour, currently in fourth spot on the ladder with four wins from its six games.
Seymour almost suffered a shock loss to Mooroopna in its last game but is likely to rebound strongly on its home turf where it is always a formidable force.
