The Kyabram Weather Station recorded 16.8mm, the most in a 24-hour period since October 16-17 when 27mm was registered.
A further 3.4mm was registered on Saturday and with 10mm recorded in January Kyabram’s yearly rainfall now stands at 30.2mm.
The rain brought tropical, oppressive weather with it. The first eight days in February produced temperatures of 30 degrees and above, including 39.5°C on Sunday, January 3.
There was some relief last Saturday when it didn’t rise above 22.7°C.
Kylie Hocking took this picture of a dust storm at a property outside Kyabram on February 6.
A thick blanket of dust reduced visibility as it blanketed surrounding areas followed by 18mm of rain.
Kylie said she was unable to see cows and sheep in nearby paddocks because of the wild weather.
