Dorothy will be sadly missed by a club that she has been the backbone and matriarch of for more than 60 years.
Dorothy was a keen young horse rider and believed the area needed an opportunity for young people to learn how to ride and care for their horses in a safe environment.
And so, the Kyabram Pony Club was born.
The first rally was held on August 23, 1958 and thanks to the work of Dorothy and other founding members, the pony club has developed a rich history and celebrated its 60th anniversary in August 2018.
Thanks to Dorothy’s efforts, the club has seen great success, with many members competing at state, national and international level.
Dorothy leaves behind a legacy and a very proud history of the Kyabram Pony Club.
The club will be forever grateful for her contribution.
